Though only the first seven chapters were translated, they constitute what is arguably the first instance of any Sanskrit text being translated into English. Fraser's manuscript was discovered in the Bodleian Library by Kitty Scoular Dutta in the early 2000s. Jadavpur University Press is proud to present this historic translation of one of India's most foundational metaphysical texts.
